About

I remember my adoptive mother telling me how she wished she had listened to her grand parents.  Now that I'm growing older, I certainly appreciate it.  The fact that I've lived all of my adult life away from the reserve makes memories of growing up all the more precious as does each visit home.

Since neither my husband and I, nor our children live in New York, I can only hope these memories will enrich the lives of my children and theirs.

Native Americans are like anyone else.  We hold fast to family and community.  We laugh and cry, live and die.  I hope my posts give you some enjoyment.
